Are you a current or recent maths graduate looking to start a career in education? Do you have a passion for teaching and a desire to support students in their academic journey? Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a dedicated and motivated maths graduate to join one of our client secondary schools in Liverpool as a subject intervention specialist or a Teaching Assistant.

You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting students who are struggling with maths concepts and providing one-to-one intervention as needed.
  • Assisting the class teacher in delivering maths lessons and providing additional support to students during lesson time
  • Preparing and delivering engaging and interactive maths lessons to small groups of students
  • Monitoring and tracking the progress of students and providing feedback to teachers and parents.

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Has a strong background in maths, with a degree in the subject.
  • Is interested in starting a career in education and is looking to gain TA experience.

Throughout the Teaching Personnel registration process, you will be required to apply for a fully enhanced child workforce DBS check that will ensure that you do not have any criminal convictions that would prevent you from working within a school. You will also be required to register this check with the Update Service to ensure that it remains an active check. You will also be asked to provide a minimum of two employment-based references.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
