Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Physiotherapist to join our Mid / South Powys CMATs (clinical musculoskeletal assessment and treatment service) and FCP (first contact practitioner) Physiotherapy team.
You will have the opportunity to work with the Musculoskeletal Consultant Physiotherapist, Clinical Specialist Physiotherapists, Orthopaedic Consultants, GPs and other health professions working in the MSK pathway across Mid / South Powys. Advanced practice training opportunities may be available for the right candidate.
As a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist for Musculoskeletal (MSK) Services in Primary Care and CMATs we are looking for a person who is motivated to be part of the MSK transformation within Powys and wants to work within an enthusiastic team where the priority is to provide high quality musculoskeletal assessment and rehabilitation to Powys residents.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
Work as an autonomous practitioner managing patients with highly specialised complex needs in a variety of care settings.
Work collaboratively with other professions GPs, Consultants, Nurses and other AHPs to provide expert patient centred musculoskeletal care.
Provide training, education, supervision and appraisal for staff and students.
Contribute to the development of professional practice and the transformation and evaluation of service delivery.
Support the research and innovation agenda through participating in research and development activity.
Lead aspects of service evaluation with an emphasis on value-based care and complex audit within their area.
Work in partnership with service users and staff to achieve improved health outcomes for service users and develop clinical pathways.

As a rural health board with around 133,000 people living across an area that is a quarter of Wales, we provide as many services as possible locally. As we don't have a District General Hospital, we work closely with other organisations in Wales and England to provide services for the people of Powys. BSc (Hons)/ Diploma in Physiotherapy HCPC registration Advanced accredited training at Masters level or equivalent Accredited post graduate specialist courses/ training relevant to role
Desirable
Post-graduate qualification up to post grad diploma level in relevant area MSc within relevant specialty Injection therapy qualification Non-medical prescribing qualification Member of CSP Competency as non-medical referrer Relevant leadership courses/ qualifications
