A Graduate Apprenticeship is a 4-year programme which helps you build skills and knowledge. You’ll work, get paid, and achieve a degree. You’ll spend most of your time learning on the job but will also be a student at a university. For more information follow the link below 

You will work, earn and learn. 

You will gain an enhanced knowledge of cyber security and develop the skills to adapt to challenging situations across an enterprise computing infrastructure.

You will study on a 4 year degree programme towards and BEng (Hons) Cyber Security at Edinburgh Napier University on a day release basis over a full calendar year. This course provides relevant fundamental knowledge related to Cyber Security such as encryption and authentication, and also provides relevant practical examples through lab-based practice, while emphasising engineering practice. What you do in work will also count towards your degree where you will gain vital industry experience.

The apprentice will be a member of the Security and Compliance team and will play a key part in overseeing the Council’s ICT security and ensuring compliance with national standards. 

You will gain experience in:

Information and risk Intelligence, threats and attacks Cyber security architecture and operations Secure systems Cyber security management Security information and event management (SIEM)
