Teaching Assistant

Location: Newark

Salary Scale: £85 to £100 per day

Status: Full Time, Permanent

About the Role:

GSL Educationare currently seeking to appoint a qualified and enthusiastic Teaching Assistance for our client schools Teaching Assistants in schools play a diverse and essential role in supporting teachers and students, facilitating learning, and promoting academic achievement and personal development across various subjects and activities. Role of a Teaching Assistance:

  • Teaching Assistant assists teachers in preparing and organizing the classroom for lessons. They help set up learning materials, equipment, and resources needed for various activities, ensuring a conducive environment for teaching and learning.
  • Teaching Assistant works with small groups of students or individual students who need additional help or guidance. They provide targeted support to reinforce learning objectives, assist with tasks, and help students develop specific skills in subjects like literacy, numeracy, and science.
  • TAs may assist in administering assessments and recording student progress. They help teachers collect data, monitor student performance, and provide feedback on assignments and activities, contributing to the assessment process and informing instructional planning. 
  • TAs may assist in organizing and supervising extracurricular activities, educational outings, and enrichment programs. They support the delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum, promoting students' interests and engagement in learning beyond the classroom.                             

 The successful candidate will:

  • Passion for working with children and helping them succeed.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
  • Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced educational setting.
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is desirable but not essential.
