Deputy Ward Manager - RMN

Salary: Up to £39,000

40 hours per week

As a Deputy Ward Manager, you will play a crucial role in providing effective leadership and management within our client's mental health ward. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated nurse to contribute to the delivery of high-quality, personalized care in a supportive and inclusive environment.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • RMN qualification and active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (UK NMC).
  • Proven experience in a mental health nursing role, with demonstrable leadership abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of relevant policies, regulations, and best practice guidelines in mental health care.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, person-centered care to individuals with mental health needs.
  • Understanding of and commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in healthcare settings.

As a Deputy Ward Manager, your responsibilities will include:
  • Providing strong leadership and support to the nursing team within the mental health ward, ensuring the delivery of person-centered care.
  • Contributing to care planning and review processes, working closely with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Assisting the Ward Manager in day-to-day operational management and service development activities.
  • Engaging in multidisciplinary team meetings and playing an active role in the development of care pathways.
  • Offering guidance and training to junior staff, providing mentorship and support as necessary.
  • Upholding the values of equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of care delivery.
  • Contributing to the promotion of a safe and therapeutic environment for service users and staff.
