Nottingham Children's hospital is pleased to announce a vacancy for a band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist in Paediatric Urology.
The successful candidate will lead a team of specialist nurses who manage a caseload of children and young people requiring specialist urology care. They will be based in Nottingham Children's Hospital working alongside a wider multi-professional urology and renal team to provide an excellent nurse-led service.
Our ideal candidate will be a registered children's nurse with significant recent experience of paediatric urology nursing. They should have demonstrable leadership skills and experience of managing staff. A non-medical prescribing course or willingness to undertake one is desirable.
Main duties of the job
To manage a paediatric urology service including day case assessments, investigations and interventions, outpatient services and outreach advice
Be responsible for a nurse led clinic
Manage a nurse led enuresis service
Prescribe medications within scope of practice
