Responsibilities:

1. Assisting the Executive Head Chef:

- Work hand in hand with the Executive Head Chef to oversee all facets of kitchen management.

- Contribute to menu conceptualisation, crafting inventive dishes to offer our guests a diverse culinary journey.

- Maintain uncompromising standards of food quality, presentation, and flavour.

2. Leadership and Oversight:

- Offer guidance, training, and supervision to kitchen personnel, including chefs, cooks, and apprentices.

- Cultivate a positive work culture, fostering teamwork, ingenuity, and excellence.

- Lead by example, motivating the team to consistently deliver culinary brilliance.

3. Culinary Preparation and Execution:

- Prepare and cook a broad array of dishes, leveraging your culinary finesse and ingenuity.

- Ensure all dishes are prepared and plated to the resort's exacting standards.

- Monitor portioning, quality, and consistency to surpass guest expectations.

4. Operational Excellence:

- Adhere to stringent food safety and sanitation standards upheld by the resort.

- Sustain a tidy, well-organized, and efficient kitchen environment.

- Assist in inventory oversight, procurement, and cost control measures.

5. Guest Satisfaction and Collaboration:

- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to accommodate guest preferences and needs.

- Address guest feedback, queries, and special requests promptly and professionally.

- Contribute to crafting unforgettable dining experiences for our esteemed guests.

Qualifications:

- Demonstrated experience as a CDP or similar role in a luxury hotel, resort, or fine dining establishment.

- Exceptional attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to thrive in high-pressure environments.

- Profound understanding of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices.

- Capability to contribute to menu evolution, ensuring variety and innovation.

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessitated by the role.

- Relevant culinary certifications and qualifications are advantageous.
