Year 6 TeacherResponsibilities

  • As aYear 6 teacher you will be responsible for the pastoral care ofchildren taking their first steps in Key Stage 2 promoting teamworkand cultivating a conducive learningenvironment.
  • Teaching the Key Stage 2curriculum to groups of children while also focusing on eachindividual childs learning targets encouraging their strengths andimproving their weaknesses
  • Keeping track ofchildrens progress and occasionally reporting back toparents

Year 6 TeacherRequirements

  • Aqualified teacher status (QTS) PGCE orequivalent
  • Experience inteaching Year 6 students and preparing them for SATsexams
  • A proven trackrecord of delivering highquality lessons and achieving excellentacademic results
  • A strongunderstanding of the national curriculum and assessmentmethodologies
  • Excellentcommunication interpersonal and organizationalskills
  • Patience resilienceand a passion forteaching
  • A willingness towork collaboratively withcolleagues
