We have an exciting opportunity for a Research & Technology Managerin our Beauty care team based at Ditton. This role involves leading a team offormulation scientists with the goal of building the knowledge of Croda’s Beautycare technologies. You will berequired to be technical lead on projects, provide managerial support to theteam, proactively seek out projects with external organisations, scope projectstechnical feasibility and propose future projects.

Essentials:
Five years plus experience working in the hair care industry. You will be self-motivated, able to work independently.Possess strong interpersonal skills to build good working relationships within the local teams and global teams.
Manage overall performance of the department including recruitment, performance management, career development, training, discipline and remuneration. Direct reports may include team leaders, lead scientists, and trainees/interns.
You will be able to build, develop and inspire a high performing team where initiative, collaboration and trust are key.
The ability to manage a project portfolio successfully is essential for this role; ensuring excellence in execution to deliver on committed implementation scope, schedule and cost.
Knowledge in formulation development, in vitro and in vivo testing and a creative flair for new method development.
Collaborate with key stakeholders in project pipeline development, including sector marketing, regulatory and safety, IP and sales.
Communicates complex science in a clear & simple way to a range of different audiences at a senior level.
