We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join in our Community Mental Health Team as a Deputy Team Lead.

This role is within the Community Mental Health Team (CMHT), a well-establishedmulti-disciplinary team, consisting of Consultant Psychiatrists, Nurses andHealth Care Support Workers, Occupational Therapists and Psychologists. The teams provide face to face assessments and care for service users referred via the Central Access Point, In-patients, and Crises Teams.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for exceptional Band 6 who is able todemonstrate their clinical experience in managing different mental healthconditions, commitment and leadership skills, motivation to improve patientexperience and care and contribute to team building and staff development.

The successful candidate will be expected to manage a caseload of both functional and organic patients as well as being able to demonstrate the same core values as ourorganisation; Compassion, Respect, Trust, and Integrity in all aspects of theirwork.

The post holder will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of programmes of evidenced based care to a group of clients/service users according to changing healthcare needs and varying levels of complexity. Being also responsible for the allocation of clients/service users to nursing staff and the delegation of duties and care priorities to the multi disciplinary team in the absence of the person with continuing responsibility.

Qualifications

Essential

Registered Nurse Level 1Degree or Equivalent. Evidence of continuing professional development within the last 12 months. Hold an NMC approved mentoring qualification.

Desirable

Post Registration Qualification. Leadership or Management Qualification or willingness to work towards.

Experience

Essential

Demonstrates motivation and commitment to providing high quality patient centre nursing care and patient education. Experience in teaching and supervision. Act as a clinical role model, mentor assessor and support for learners. Previous working experience in mental health in in-patient setting or community. Driving licence is essential for this post.
