Static Band 5 Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapist

Across East and North Hertfordshire - Full time hours

Hertfordshire Musculoskeletal Service is currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Physiotherapist who would like to increase their knowledge and experience in the musculoskeletal out-patient specialism.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to expand in this clinical area as part of our wider experienced community integrated service. We have a commitment to clinical quality and ensure regular supervision and CPD opportunities.

You will be working as part of The MSK physiotherapy team which forms part of the integrated community MSK Services working alongside theMSK Clinical, Assessment and Treatment Service (MSKCATS) , the ACTIVATE for CFS and Persistent Pain team and the Hand Therapy team.

The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills, and will provide a complex package of high quality healthcare including assessment, diagnosis and treatment to out patients with complex needs.

Main duties of the job

You will be joining a substantial Band 5 workforce with excellent peer support. We are looking for sound clinical reasoning , an ability to work within a team and to be able to use your will also be able to offer expert advice, guidance and information to other professionals, carers and relatives and other non-professionals.

Job responsibilities

The successful applicant will deliver musculoskeletal physiotherapy treatment across a range of clinics in East and North Hertfordshire. They will assess , diagnose and treat their own caseload and maintain their own records as an autonomous practitioner.

Regular supervision and training is part of the framework of the integrated service.

Qualifications

Essential

Diploma/Degree in Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy Appropriate state registration with the Health Professions Council

Experience

Essential

Post-registration experience Experience of working within a team and independently Understanding of clinical governance and its implications Awareness of recent government initiative and their impact on practice

Skills

Essential

Established communication and documentation skills Prioritization and organisational skills Accurate and legible note taking To have the ability to work in challenging environments Competent IT skills
