Exciting Opportunity for QTS Deputy Director of MFL French in Slough

GSL Education is currently seeking a number of passionate and dedicated QTS Deputy Director of MFL French to join our client schools in Slough. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in leading the Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) department and inspiring students through the French language.

 

As the QTS Deputy Director of MFL French, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the development and implementation of a comprehensive French curriculum that engages and challenges students.
  • Teaching French lessons to students, ensuring lessons are engaging, informative, and meet the needs of all learners.
  • Supporting the Director of MFL in monitoring and assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and supporting students in achieving their full potential.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to integrate French into the broader school curriculum and enhance cross-curricular learning opportunities.
  • Leading and mentoring other teachers within the MFL department, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Staying up-to-date with developments in French language education and incorporating new methodologies into your teaching practice.

Candidate Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching French.
  • Proven leadership experience within an educational setting, with the ability to inspire and motivate colleagues.
  • Strong knowledge of the French language curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians.
  • A passion for the French language and a commitment to helping students develop their language skills and cultural understanding.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Dedication to ongoing professional development and a commitment to inclusive education.

 

Must hold a current Enhanced Child Only DBS registered with the update service or be prepared to apply for a new one with GSL Education.
