Overview

PMO ANALYST

Lookers Head Office Altrincham 

The Technology & Change function drives a broad spectrum of change initiatives, which the PMO Analyst actively supports. Collaborating closely with Programme and Project Managers, the PMO Analyst brings essential structure and oversight to our change delivery process, ensuring timely, budget-conscious, and high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

Supporting Programme and Project Managers: Ensuring their adherence to the change framework, processes, and tools. Collating and Quality Assurance: Responsible for collating and ensuring the quality of status reporting across Technology & Change Programmes of Work. Project Status Tracking and Communication: Regularly tracking and communicating project status and metrics, providing a comprehensive view of all supported projects. Process Improvement: Actively contributing to the creation and enhancement of processes, procedures, and tools. PMO Reference Point: Serving as a reference point for PMO queries, information, and advocating best practices. Governance Submissions: Managing and presenting governance submissions through the governance framework. Assurance Reviews: Conducting assurance reviews of key documents, such as Project Status Reporting, Project Plans, and Change Requests. Resource Allocation Management: Assisting in managing enterprise-level resource allocation, including adjustments based on emerging business demand or challenges, and reporting of actuals. Risk, Issue, and Dependency Tracking: Enabling effective tracking of risk, issue, and dependency management across all initiatives, providing support and challenge where needed.

Accurate Reporting and Management Information: Providing accurate reporting and essential management information as required.

Qualifications

Experience

At least 2 years’ experience gained within a PMO environment. Possession of recognized Project, Programme, PMO, or Portfolio qualifications (., PRINCE2, P30, APMP) is desirable. Able to work as part of a team and both give and receive views, as teamwork and sharing of issues is an absolute requirement. Ability to work under pressure, maintaining high levels of attention to detail. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience of Microsoft Project would be desirable. Logical and methodical approach – must be able to think before acting.
