Due to a growth in service, we have a very rare and exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Registered Nurse with an interest in interventional Cardiology to join the only Private and Self Pay Cardiac Catheter Laboratory in Kent as a trainee Cardiac Cath Lab Staff Nurse. You will be fully trained in the pre-assessment of Cath Lab patients, processing the admission and recovery of patients, and scrubbing and running for procedures.

This role is ideally suited to a Registered Nurse with post registration experience and a desire to develop specialist skills and gain expert cardiac knowledge in coronary angiograms, PCI, Pacing and EP Studies.

Your working hours will be Hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm, 9am - 5pm, 10am - 6pm or 11am – 7pm on a rota basis. 

Main duties of the job

Role Responsibilities include:

Providing care and support to patients throughout their pathway with KIMS Hospital including pre-operative assessment right through to discharge Scrub for a case load of patients undergoing cardiac procedures including catheterisation, pacing and ICD fitting Ensure the patient experience and well-being remain at the heart of the business at all times and best practices are implemented and maintained within the Cardiac Cath Lab Assist the cardiac technicians and radiographers as necessary in placing ECG electrodes, setting up transducers and preparing equipment ready for procedures Day to day duties of a cardiac nurse including taking bloods, cannulation, performing angiograms, pacing’s as well as assessing and monitoring patients
