About the role: 

Activate Learning is currently seeking qualified Counsellors to join our part-time teaching staff at City of Oxford College. Contributing to and enhancing our well-established and successful counselling training team, you'll teach on our Level 2 Counselling courses on Thursday Evenings 18:00-21:30.

What do you need to be a successful Counselling Tutor at Activate Learning?

We are looking for individuals who can serve as role models for our learners, ensuring they graduate with not only professional qualifications but also the skills needed to succeed in the workplace.

The ideal Counselling tutor candidate will Have:

  • A therapeutic counselling qualification at level 3 or above
  • Membership in a professional counselling association, with at least one year of experience using counselling skills in a professional setting.
  • Evidenceof completing 20 hours of CPD activities annually.
  • A teaching qualification or be willingness to obtain one
  • Experience teaching and assessing at level 2 or higher
  • Active practice in supervised counselling (desirable).
  • A supervision qualification or experience in supervising groups or individuals in a counselling setting (desirable).
