THE OPPORTUNITY

Sii UK are hiring for a role of a System Engineer for one of the projects based in Stevenage. Role requires working from the office for 3 days per week, the outstanding 2 days can be remote.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

To excel in this role, you should possess experience in the following:

Previous experience of working in MoD. Knowledge and previous experience of using DOORS.

TASKS:

The primary activities encompass, but are not limited to, the following:

Carrying out design-proving tests on the new DLU design to validate its alignment with customer requirements. Reviewing the existing data link design and prior work to guide design adjustments. Getting familiar with the test setup and Design Proving Test Plan/procedure. Updating the Design Proving Test Plan to incorporate any design alterations. Carrying out tests on a single Data Link Unit. Compiling a report detailing the test outcomes. Analysing any disparities between expected and actual results, suggesting further design enhancements as necessary. Reviewing past qualification data and documents, and conducting qualification for the new design. Familiarising with previous EMC/Environmental Qualification endeavours. Proposing the most suitable tests based on design modifications, aiming to streamline testing whenever possible. Setting up test facilities and conducting dry runs to ensure the functionality of Test Equipment with relevant Test Software and the DLU. Conducting formal EMC and ENV Qualification in accordance with customer requirements. Investigating and analysing any qualification failures. Generating test reports confirming DLU performance and the applied test levels during testing.
