An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 x part time Band 3 Support Workers (Physical Health) to work as part of the Clinical Treatment Team (CTT) covering a number of localities across the Trust. Under the direction of the professional staff, the successful applicant will support the provision of high quality holistic health care to patients.

The Health Care Support worker will work within clinics on the Fylde and Wyre Coast including Blackpool, Lancaster and Morecambe, providing physical health monitoring and reporting for patients who are prescribed psychotropic medications. The physical health monitoring and screening will include Electrocardiogram (ECG)

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will have an understanding of the monitoring of physical health for people who are prescribed psychotropic medications and a knowledge of community and inpatient mental health services with previous experience of working within a multi-disciplinary care setting.

The successful applicant will have a willingness to undertake training to meet the needs of the role including performing ECG's and phlebotomy - training will be given.

An ability to communicate in a courteous, helpful manner, demonstrating empathy and sensitivity in a variety of situations and building a rapport within a limited time frame is essential.
