Job Description

As a Teaching Assistant at our partnered school, you will play a crucial role in supporting the teaching and learning activities within the classroom. You will work closely with teachers to provide assistance to students and help create a positive and engaging learning environment.

Job Duties:
  • Supporting teachers in delivering lessons and classroom activities
  • Assisting students with their learning, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Helping to create and maintain a stimulating and safe learning environment
  • Supervising students during break times and outings
  • Providing feedback to teachers on student progress and behaviour
Required Qualifications:

Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
  • Previous experience working in a school or educational setting
  • Knowledge of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:

Additional qualifications in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or related field

Working Conditions:

You will be working in a vibrant and inclusive school environment where teamwork is highly valued. The role may involve some outdoor activities on the Forest School site, gardens, and orchards. Collaboration with teachers, parents/carers, and the wider community is essential for the best educational outcomes for all students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
