ERM is looking to grow its Award-WinningInfrastructureM&A service line through the recruitment of a Managing Consultant.You will be working alongside experienced Partners across the M&A team, and utilise the knowledge from across the business including some of our recently acquired companies, to offer Transaction Advisory Services to financial institutions and infrastructure operators. You will work closely with infrastructure funds, private equity firms, investments banks and energy companies to deliver technical due diligence services on buy side, sell side and project financing deals. 

Job Description 

M&A within ERM currently has a core team of 50+ consultants delivering technical, ESG and EHS due diligence services. Due to increasing client demand for us to work on more projects, we are looking to expand this offering .

As a ManagingConsultant, you will be expected to be involved in:

Delivery of proposals, which will include development of our company profile, scopes of work, scheduling and commercial terms;

Assisting / leading on projects that provideour clients with a technical, operational and business plan evaluation of their proposed investment on infrastructure assets;

Assisting / leading on the coordination of typical projectdeliverables such as Q&A submission, management sessions, client meetings and report delivery;

Working effectively across technical communities within ERM and subcontractorswho are identified as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to support project delivery and client interaction; and

Completing internaldevelopment tasks to improve the functionality of the infrastructure service line.

Job Requirements and Skills 

To apply for this role at ERM, you should provide evidence / demonstratethe following essential skills, and desirable skills / attributes where possible.

Essential

A solid academic background with an engineering bias- Mechanical Engineering or Process Engineering. (Other engineering disciplines may be considered depending on experience).

Relevant experience in technical consulting and / or engineering (design or operations) experience during your career within the energy / infrastructure sectors.

Strong technical skills and the ability to identify risks and opportunities within technical documentation, site visits and technical discussions, relating to points such as asset integrity, operational performance, management systems and business plans.

Demonstrates excellent organisational skills, self-motivation, self-sufficiency and the ability to work successfully in a fast turnaround team environment.

Must be able to promote and execute quality work, and ensure high standards are being achieved by yourself and the team.

Exhibit advanced reports writing skills.

Experience in a client facing role.

The ability to manage or assist with complex project delivery coordinating multiple workstreams into client deliverables. 

Desirable  

Previous experience in technical due diligence would be preferred but not essential;

Engineering Chartership (or working towards);

Interest in domestic and overseas travel to perform site visits when required;

Management of previousexternal client projects;

Knowledge of current, reasonable costs associated with Capex (Capital Expense); and Opex (Operational Expense) for engineering assets / projects.

This role can be based from any of our UK offices.
