About Us:

Our secondary school in Harlow is dedicated to providing a high-quality education and creating an engaging learning environment. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Graduate of Geography to join our Geography Department and contribute to the academic success of our students.

 

The Role:

As a Graduate of Geography, you will work closely with experienced teachers and support staff in the Geography Department. Your responsibilities will include assisting with lesson delivery, providing one-to-one and small group support, preparing teaching materials, and contributing to the development of the geography curriculum.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the preparation and delivery of geography lessons, ensuring they are engaging and accessible for all students.

- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, helping them to understand geographical concepts and improve their academic performance.

- Prepare teaching materials and resources for classroom activities and fieldwork.

- Support teachers in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.

- Contribute to the continuous development of the geography curriculum and participate in departmental meetings and training sessions.

 

Requirements:

- A recent degree in Geography or a related field.

- A passion for education and a desire to inspire and motivate students.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.

- Organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

- A commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
