About the Role:
Cover People UK are recruiting an enthusiastic and skilled Music Teacher for a mainstream secondary school in Wigan. This full-time, long-term role is set to begin in January 2025 and is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher to inspire and develop students’ musical talents within a supportive and thriving school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Music lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, following the National Curriculum.
- Inspire students to develop their musical abilities through practical and theoretical lessons.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them excel.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and confidence.
- Participate in school activities, such as concerts, performances, and extra-curricular music clubs.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Experience teaching Music at the secondary school level.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for fostering students’ musical abilities.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or a willingness to apply for one, is mandatory.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
