Location: Gaydon and Southam
Your Tasks/ Responsibilities:
Reporting to the CAD Team Leader to ensure technical deliverables ( CAD Gateways) are achieved in support of the customer project deliverables.
Your duties will include:
To liaise with System Owners progressing information relevant to 3D models Hands on creation of 3D models to produce harness drawings to customer standards To attend packaging meetings, presenting and justifying preferred solutions Deliver 3D models to project timing To jointly own specific harnesses, in conjunction with Manufacturing and Harness Engineers Support initial product builds at the Customer and LEONI manufacturing sitesYour Profile:
Ideally educated to HND/degree level, in a relevant engineering discipline ( Electrical/Auto/Mechanical) Demonstrable understanding of electrical principles, and vehicle electrical systems, essential Demonstrable understanding of EDS CAD design and routing, essential Experience in the use of CATIA V5 and V6 and Electronic work bench would be preferred. Experience with PLM Tools (preferably TCE and 3DX), would be advantageous Experience in a vehicle manufacturing environment, preferably in a design support role would be beneficial Ideally, knowledge of harness manufacturing processes and best practice in ‘design for manufacture’ A structured approach to problem solving Ability to organise multiple work streams and achieve parallel deliverables Excellent communication skills, including the ability to provide technical instruction Excellent negotiation skills, with customer facing experience an advantage Prepared to travel with the UK and OverseasBenefits:
