Position Objective:

Responsible for carrying out analytical chemistry testing on finished goods and raw materials within an ISO accredited laboratory environment.
Successful candidate will be part of a fast paced quality control department at our Inchinnan campus. Successful performance of job duties contributes to meeting testing schedules, customer satisfaction, departmental safety and quality objectives.

Essential Functions:

Perform raw material and finished good release testing according to standard operating procedures in a timely and efficient manner.

Key tasks for this role include:

Raw material Sampling and Testing Water sampling and testing ID by FTIR Karl Fischer Analysis, HPLC, ICPMS Reconstitution of powder media and full specification testing. Calibration and Maintenance of equipment Provide support to initiate and implement validation processes, technical investigations and improvement initiatives. May be required to perform other related duties as required and or assigned. Maintain detailed and complete product test records per in-house testing procedures and in accordance with ISO 13485 standards.  Support and maintain Company's Safety, Environmental and Waste Management programme. Participate in personal development opportunities to further improve skills and knowledge to the relevant position.

Requirements:

Education:

Requires a bachelor’s degree within biological and/or chemistry science

Experience:

Experience in a biotechnology or similar manufacturing environment preferred but not crucial Good aseptic techniques required Strong interpersonal skills and a dedication to excellence Ability to troubleshoot lab based queries and prioritise workload Able to work independently as well as work within a diverse team Familiar with MS Office products Excellent oral and written communication skills

Working Conditions:

Works in a laboratory environment. Must be able to work safely with chemicals and hazardous materials. Will be expected to perform some manual handling. Must be able to work overtime and flexible shifts where required.
