Our PI/ClinicalNegligence team is 18 lawyers strong and we are now handling more1million plus cases than ever before. Our lawyers have autonomyover the running of their cases and always put the clients needs atthe forefront of everything they do. There are no fast track/multitrack teams every lawyer gets the chance to handle both types ofcases with support and mentoring if their experience does not matchthe needs of the case. This then gives them the experience for thenext multitrack matter.

This will in turn offeryou a wealth of learning opportunities and exposure to a variety ofPersonal Injury and Clinical Negligence claims including but notlimited to: Employers Liability Public Liability RTA and ClinicalNegligence claims ranging from delayed diagnosis birthing injuriesand cosmetic claims allowing you to become a wellroundedLawyer.

We have a very generous bonus scheme of 20%of any fees brought in above your target which is not dependent onwhether the team reaches target its individual we believe inrewarding lawyers for their hardwork.

Tasks

Roleand Responsibilities

Your role inthe company will predominantly consistof:

  • Working alongside the existingClaimant Personal Injury team and managing yourowncaseload.
  • Handling new and existing claimsincluding litigated matters.
  • Travelling to meetclients and potential witnessesfacetoface.
  • Attending Courthearings.
  • Liaising with barristers medicalexperts and other professionals to assist with eachclaim.
  • Preparing and drafting documents briefsinstructions and schedules.
  • Valuing claims anddealing with settlementnegotiations.
Requirements

Youwill be expected to possess thefollowing:

  • Ideally at least 3 years ofexperience in a similar role (inhouse or privatepractice).
  • Experience of working in atargetdriven commercial environment would be anadvantage.
  • A proven track record of dealingwith high value claims and a strong billinghistory.
  • Knowledge of Conditional FeeAgreements.
  • Experience of dealing withprelitigated and litigated claims.
  • Knowledge ofthe MoJ portal.
  • Excellent written and oralcommunication skills.
  • Excellent professionalismand a proactive nature.
  • Excellentorganisational skills including the ability to effectivelyprioritise and timemanageworkloads/tasks.
  • Excellent attention todetail.
  • The ability to produce work to a highstandard.
  • Good commercialawareness.
  • Good ITskills.
  • Good client careskills.
