About the role

Salary £13.60 per hour, plus an attendance bonus. Working 45 hours per week  Monday - Friday 08:00 - 18:00  Catch up On Saturdays following a bank holiday.

What will I be doing?

You will operate a counterbalance forklift truck to both feed the raw material and load out the sorted bales of recovered material.

This role involves:

You will operate the production equipment and carry out quality sampling checks. You will assist with the resolution of plant stoppages / blockages. You will carry out housekeeping duties in line with our 5’s lean objectives. Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be involved with the day-to-day recycling operations at our customers sites in the Poole or Portland region. You will work with our customers to maximise reduce, reuse and recycle of waste materials produced at the site. You will control the exchange of containers by booking loads with the relevant person, thus ensuring the site always has space to segregate and store material correctly. You will maintain a safe and tidy site within your areas of responsibility. Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role

What are the requirements?

You will need to hold a valid counterbalance forklift truck (FLT) license and, as additional mobile plant use is a key part of this role. 

Other requirements include:

We are looking for an enthusiastic team player, who will be expected to join the current site team to ensure site operations exceed the standards required. An excellent level of customer service and teamwork is a key part of this role. A flexible approach to work will be advantageous as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days if required. A safety conscious person with the desire to develop and embrace change to promote continuous improvement. Previous experience within the waste industry or other high-volume production processes is an advantage, but not a necessity (training will be given).
