Accounts Payable Specialist

Purpose of the position
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Payable specialist to ensure the accurate and efficient processing of all payable transactions across multiple entities and countries in Europe. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of account payable & financial processes, controls, and a keen eye for detail. The Accounts Payable specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate records of invoices and payments and resolving any discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities
Process invoices accurately and efficiently, verifying coding and matching with Purchase Order. Payment Processing- Ensure timely and accurate processing of supplier payments. Reconciliation- Review and reconcile vendor statements, resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner. Vendor Management- Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders regarding invoice inquiry, payment status and other account related matters. Employee expense- Review of employee expense and timely payment process. Intercompany transactions and posting of invoices. Month-End closing- Assisting with month end activities, preparing accrual reports, creating Journal Entries, AP control account reconciliation and reporting. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, finance, and vendors, to resolve any discrepancies, issues, or inquiries related to accounts payable transactions. Monitor and manage the accounts payable aging to ensure timely payment of invoices and avoid any potential late fees or disruptions to vendor relationships. Prepare various accounts payable reports, analyses, and metrics for senior management. Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within accounts payable function.Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Proven experience in accounts payable process in a fast faced environment. Strong knowledge of accounts payable related internal controls and processes Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with accounts payable automation tools is preferred. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines effectively. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders. Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
