Job DescriptionResponsibilities
- Maintaining high quality electrical and mechanical installations, repairs and maintenance to the Plant and Building Fabric
- Planning and completing a range of planned maintenance works associated with electrical & mechanical engineering
- Complete proactive inspections, any required remedial repairs and act reactively to breakdowns to prevent the line going down and manufacturing time being lost
- Mechanical setup and production support
- Offer assistance with any maintenance projects such as removal or installation of equipment
- Fault finding and repair of breakdowns
- Recognised mechanical apprenticeship (City and Guilds, NVQ or equivalent)
- Experience of Production equipment, maintenance in a diverse factory environment
- Machining and/or welding skills
- Dual skilled (Mechanical /Electrical maintenance)
- Good diagnostic skills
- Experience of first line response for boilers, chillers, air compressors and other utility systems
- Extrusion experience
- Higher qualification (e.g. ONC/HNC) or equivalent experience
- Computer literate (stores systems and Maintenance Management Systems)
- Flexible approach to work
- Teamworker
- Good interpersonal and organisational skills
