Outdoor Educator SEMH

Location: Dinnington (S25)

Salary Scale:  £95-£110 ped day

Status: Full Time

Currently, GSL Education is looking to fill a job at one of our client schools in Dinnington. As an Outdoor Educator specializing in SEMH, you will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering outdoor learning experiences tailored to meet the unique needs of our students. You will work closely with our dedicated team to develop programs that foster personal growth, resilience, and social skills through hands-on activities in natural settings.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement outdoor education programs that promote social, emotional, and mental well-being.
  • Lead engaging outdoor activities such as bushcraft, team-building challenges, and nature walks.
  • Provide individualized support to students, helping them overcome challenges and build confidence.
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to integrate outdoor learning into the curriculum.
  • Maintain safety standards and risk management protocols during outdoor activities.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs preferred.
  • Strong understanding of outdoor education principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant qualifications in outdoor education, youth work, or related field.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students in an outdoor setting.
