Division info:

The Landing Gear Market specializes in the design, qualification, manufacture and repair and overhaul of landing gears and flight critical components to a customer base that extends from the OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to the Operators in both the commercial and military markets.

Summary of position:

As a key member of the small, focused HR team, the Human Resources Director is key to providing lead and direction to all HR processes and day-to-day functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and upgrading & enforcing company policies and best practices.

This position is based in Runcorn with flexibility to travel sporadically to our Kirby in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire site.

Main responsibilities:

•Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization for the UK divisions.
•Bridging management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, disciplinary management, or other issues as per business
•Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
•Managing the Full Hiring process and Succession planning (supported by the on-site Recruitment Specialist)
•Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
•Maintain pay plan and benefits program.
•Mentoring and managing a HRBP, a health and safety specialist, a HR Technician, and an HR Advisor but also able to support daily HR related queries.
•Establish and maintain key employee metrics such as recruitment, turnover, and retention rates to support recommendations.
•Maintaining the HR corporate database and producing the HR payroll inputs
•Providing guidance to operational managers on employee related issues (sickness, health and safety, occupational health and more)
•Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management. NMW; Right to Work/ Sponsor Management; Gender Pay Reportng and IR
•Support the implementation of new HRIS platform.

Qualifications:


•CIPD level 7 or Degree in Human Resources or similar
•Experience in Manufacturing work environment is a must.
•Practical experience upgrading or implementing best HR practices (Process & Tool implementation of an HRIS) is a plus.
•Strong mentoring and succession planning experience is a must.
•Excellent communication skills at all levels.
•Proactive, organized, multi-task and self-motivated.
