The role
As an Inventory Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You'll support the inventory programme through analysing inventory data on a continuous basis.

Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with procurement and supply chain, warehousing, material forecasting and other areas to identify key metrics impacting the work streams. You’ll utilise inventory management tools and analytical capabilities to understand effectiveness of inventory, poor performance and obsolescence such that corrective action can be taken.

Analyse production returns to understand the reason for return Analyse cancelled demands to identify reasons and take any corrective action Analyse receipts vs Issues to understand reasons for high value and volume items. Increase the number of items purchased from the Army’s warehousing system vs Industry Support with contract change notice (CCN) Returns and reporting


This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the office/onsite and 2 days working from home. Potential travel to Catterick and Bovington may be required as part of the role

Essential experience of the Inventory Manager: 

Experience in Inventory management with different layers of central and national warehouses In depth knowledge of inventory management methodology, processes, and systems Experience working with SAP planning systems or an equivalent ERP system Strong Mircosoft excel experience

Qualifications for the Inventory Manager:

A recognised supply chain or project management qualification i.e., CIPS, CILT, APM, Prince etc.
