Weare seeking staff nurses to join our team on ward 4 at Coalville CommunityHospital. The ward is nurse led which will give you high levels of autonomy andsatisfaction in delivering excellent patient care, supporting rehabilitation,undertaking complex discharge planning and increasing patient independence andquality of life.

Thisward has discharge to assess beds, providing sub-acute care and complex rehabilitationwith a focus on assessing patients for admission to a residential home orreturn to their own home following an acute hospital stay. Our patient cohortis increasingly complex due to the need to facilitate transfer from acutetrusts as soon as individuals are medically fit for discharge and to preventadmission from home to the secondary care sector.

Main duties of the job

Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluatingpatient care in a nurse led environment.

Assisting with and contributing to the managementand organisation of the ward.

Delivery of high-quality care.

Participating in education, development andsupervision of other staff members and students.

Working collaboratively and co-operatively withothers to meet the needs of clients/service users and their families.

Qualifications

Essential

Level 1 Registered Nurse (Adult). Student Nurse in the final year of an adult nursing programme.

Experience

Essential

Demonstrates effective communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility dependent upon work priorities. Demonstrates an understanding of current developments in the NHS and their implications for nursing care. Demonstrates an interest in providing patient centred nursing care and patient education.

Standard Requirements

Essential

Demonstrates an understanding of equality and valuing diversity principles. Demonstrates an understanding of confidentiality and data protection. Demonstrates an understanding of the needs of service users of the Trust.
