FLT Counterbalance Driver

We are recruiting an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver to join a well-established manufacturer of Drilling Machines and Tools in the B46 area.

All applicants for this role MUST hold experience as a Counterbalance driver with 12 months minimum MHE experience. Goods In/Out experience would offer an additional advantage.

Your duties will often be carried out in narrow gangways, working alongside a team of Assembly Operatives, Machinists and Technicians. You must therefore have the confidence to manoeuvre a range of different product types (i.e. stillage's, pallets, cages) Your tasks will not be limited to those of a Driver - you will be expected to help with 'off-truck' duties including material handling and completing paperwork for Goods In duties.

Hours of work are: Mon - Thurs 0800 - 1630 (Friday 0800 - 1230) You will work 38.5 hours but paid for 40 hours.

Pay rate : £11.44 per hour, plus overtime rates at time x 1.3 / time x 1.5 and time x 2 (as appropriate).

To be successful for this position, candidates must bring the following attributes:
  • In date FLT Counterbalance licence (must be within 3 years of issue)
  • Good communication skills
  • Warehouse Duties
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Duties involve regular and repetitive light, medium and heavy lifting
  • Happy to work on and off the truck
