What you’ll be doing as a Senior Project Manager
- You’ll be a client-side Senior Project Manager responsible for the investment from initial design through construction and completion
- Overall accountability for project programme, cost and quality and leading the project team to meet project objectives
- Establish a project health and safety culture and lead with a health and safety mindset.
- Working collaboratively with our external supply chain and driving contractor performance.
- Support the definition of solutions to meet the project objectives and be responsible for preparing a clear business case
- Effective liaison with the relevant town planning authorities and critical internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth running and timely project delivery
- Contribute to steering project-wide continuous improvement and delivering against stretching targets
- Commercially manage all contract matters to achieve the optimal outcome for Thames Water.
- Take accountability for governance compliance throughout the project's lifecycle, leading to a smooth transition into operational business
Working Hours: 36 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
What you should bring to the role
- Demonstrable track record of delivering complex projects in the built environment, infrastructure or utility industry
- An engineering or other relevant degree or qualification within a business or project management qualification
- Knowledgeable in managing contract specification preparation, tendering, and tender evaluation processes with experience in negotiation
- Demonstrate your capability with risk-based and analytical decision-making
- Confidence in speaking to all levels of external and internal stakeholders

- Competitive salary from £55,000 to £75,000 per annum
- 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service. (Plus bank holidays)
