MainPurpose ofJob

To assistwith our Young Carers youth groups during term time and our holidayactivities during school holidays. The candidate will need to beflexible and able to work afternoons andevenings

Responsibilities

  • Toassist the Young Carers Project Manager and Young Carers ProjectLead during Youth Club sessions.
  • Deliver onafterschool clubs and school holiday trips for young carers inEaling and Hounslow.
  • Develop and maintainpositive relationships with young carers.
  • Keepup to date registers risk assessments and regularly upload tomonitoring systems.
  • To understand and complywith all policies and procedures in line with Trust and contractualresponsibilities including the safeguarding of the young peopleGDPR health and safety and EDI.
  • Work flexiblehours including evenings and occasional weekends.
  • Participate in training sessions related tosafeguarding and emergency response.
  • Report any safeguarding concerns promptly tothe appropriate authorities or designated personnel.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidentsconcerns and actions taken
  • Participate in and stay up to date withrelevant child protection training andworkshops.

EssentialCriteria

  • Experience ofworking with young people (paid orvoluntary)
  • Ability to work as part ofa team
  • Experience of buildingpositive relationships with youngpeople
  • Excellent communication andorganisation skills
  • Ability to workunder own initiative as well as part of ateam.
  • Availability to work eveningsschool holidays and occasionalweekends
  • To be able work acrossEaling and Hounslow
  • Safeguarding andFirst Aid qualification or willingness tocomplete
