Student Services is looking for a Specialist Tutor to join our successful and busy front-line Additional Learning Support Team, with offices on both Talbot Campus and at the Lansdowne. Within this role you will primarily work with our Apprenticeship students and subsequently in collaboration with Faculty Teams to deliver specialist, tailored one to one teaching to students studying through the apprenticeship route who have specific learning differences (SpLDs), autistic spectrum conditions (ASCs), mental health difficulties and medical disabilities. There will also be opportunities to work with all ALS students and to be involved in ongoing projects to improve the service.

The post is all year round and applicants must have excellent communication, literacy, IT skills and be able to work on their own initiative as well as being part of a team. This area of Student Services is a high-pressure environment so applicants must demonstrate an ability to be calm, be able to multi-task efficiently and be fully aware of professional boundaries. Full training will be given around the utilisation of Cognassist as our screening application and the report data this produces.
