Job Title: Painter Decorator

Location: Abergavenny
Salary: £14.11 per hour Hours: Full time. Monday - Thursday 0730 -1600 & Friday 0730 - 1300
Can be flexible for the right person

Here at The Recruitment Co, we are currently recruiting a Painter Decorator to work for a company based in Abergavenny on a full time temp contract.

As a painter/painter and decorator, you could be

  • removing old or damaged paintwork or wallpaper
  • repairing surfaces to be painted such as walls, window frames, fences etc
  • plastering small areas
  • estimating how much paint or wallpaper is needed
  • preparing surfaces
  • wallpapering and painting


You may work on existing buildings or on newly-constructed buildings. You could be redecorating small areas or working
on large projects.

  • willing to work at heights where necessary

  • good manual (hand) skills

When painters are working in a building, there may be staff and patients there, but painters do not have direct contact with patients.

There are no set entry requirements. We will expect a qualification in painting and decorating, such as an NVQ level 3, certificate or diploma or time served experience.
