About the Role

As a Web Administrator you will help Kingston and Sutton council staff deliver excellent public services through the website. You’ll do this by supporting, managing, and maintaining the websites for both councils. 

Every day will be different but it will usually involve: 

writing some new content for our services,  creating or amending web pages,  providing analytics for web pages,  testing new website features or functionality,  training new web authors on how our CMS works. 

You will have full support in learning our new systems, autonomy in how you manage workload and the opportunity to gain experience working at the forefront of digital services in Local Government. 

Key Activities

Monitor and maintain the Kingston and Sutton Council websites on a daily basis Troubleshoot issues and resolve problems in a timely manner Manage content and ensure accuracy, relevance and adherence to accessibility and web standards Working with Content Designers to build new web pages and optimise web journeys for all users Reporting technical issues/bugs to website providers and working with them to find solutions or workarounds About Us Our web team currently consists of a Product Manager, Content Designers, UX Designer, User Researcher, Business Analyst, Delivery Manager, Service Designer and two Web Administrators. We manage all areas of the Kingston.gov.uk website, and the Sutton.gov.uk website, and can give great insight into how websites work within Local Government. About You We have a lot of exciting new work in the pipeline and we are looking for an enthusiastic and focused individual to join our friendly team and help us with managing this workload.
