Maintenance Caretaker

Job description

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full Time 37 hours per week

Location of post: Beaufort House, Groves Road, Neath, SA11 1YE with travel as required.

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Caretaker to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for: Providing a caretaking and maintenance service to properties managed by the Housing Options Service and to assist with the practical tasks involved when clients move into and on from those properties. Please note – this post is of a physical nature and can at times be physically demanding.

The main duties of the post include:

Cleaning propertiesPreparing properties for occupationRegular monitoring of propertiesIdentifying and reporting repairs and other hazardsProperty clearances – including removal of furniture and other waste items.

You will have experience in/of;

General caretaking work – including cleaning, repairs and housekeeping, and experience of liaising with contractors.

Ideally you will have;

A full driving license and access to a vehicle for business purposes.4 GCSEs Grades A-C.
