The Role: Fareham Secondary School is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Design & Technology Curriculum Lead to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Design & Technology department, developing and implementing a dynamic curriculum that inspires and engages students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Design & Technology department, providing strategic direction and support to staff.
- Develop and implement an innovative and challenging curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting high standards of teaching and learning.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the curriculum, making adjustments as necessary to ensure continuous improvement.
- Support and mentor teachers within the department, encouraging professional development and growth.
- Collaborate with other departments and senior leadership to align curriculum goals and share best practices.
- Engage with parents, carers, and the wider community to promote the benefits of Design & Technology education.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Design & Technology or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching at the secondary level.
- Proven experience in curriculum development and leadership within a school setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate both staff and students.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for educational excellence.
