Job summary

We are looking for a dynamic HCA to join our team. Hospital experience is an advantage but not a requirement.

We are open Mon - Fri and see around 1200 patients a month in a wide variety of clinics. In this role you need to capable of working independently supporting a clinician in a variety of clinical activities. At other times you may be preparing or cleaning cystoscopes. Other duties will include stock managements.

Main duties of the job

Supporting Drs and Specialist Nurses in clinical activity, eg cystoscopy, Prostate Biopsies etc.

Meeting and greeting patients, undertaking urine samples and observations.

Preparing and cleaning cystoscopes.

Stock and medication ordering.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

National Vocation Qualification (NVQ) level 3 in Health and Social Care OR an acceptable alternative level 3 qualification with equivalent experience OR other relevant comparable qualifications Satisfactory general education and record of training Evidence of additional training relevant to role

Desirable

Hold or working towards attaining Care Certificate qualification

Experience

Essential

Experience at working at NVQ3 competency for a minimum of 6 months Experience working in urology/surgery/outpatient environment

Desirable

Recent knowledge and experience of the NHS
