Business Intelligence Manager

As Business Intelligence Manager you will deliver the business intelligence function for the whole of Connexus, supporting the delivery of the corporate plan and high-performing teams through the provision of accurate, timely, effective and business-led insight and evidence. You will effectively develop the maturity of the approach and use of business intelligence and insight to deliver improved services based on evidence, analysis and forecasting. You will be a key lead in our data management and quality project

Other responsibilities include: 

  • Working with colleagues across the business to understand data and insight requirements to support operational and strategic working and to ensure that effective reporting and data validation tools are in place 
  • Ensuring compliance with appropriate regulatory bodies for reporting requirements within the remit of the post: e.g., Tenant Satisfaction Measures and the Statistical Data Return for the Regulator of Social Housing
  • Working with others to lead the approach to Social Return on Investment, developing measures to emphasise non-financial return of the business 
  • Delivering on the approach to benchmarking across Connexus, facilitating the collection, reporting and analysis of information 
  • Management of external contracts up to circa £50K 
  • Line Management of up to 3 people 

To be successful in this role you must have: 

  • The ability to develop insight for business and customer service and use proactively 
  • The ability to work collectively across a wide range of disciplines, employing the latest research and insight techniques, including satisfaction monitoring 
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, database development, social research and sampling, with the ability to manage external research suppliers 
  • Excellent verbal, written, analytical and team-building skills 
  • The ability to manage multiple research and reporting streams, working to tight deadlines 
  • Strong planning skills to effectively work across the business and adapting positively to changing requirements, generating own ideas and works to deliver organisational goals
  • Housing sector skills, experience and knowledge
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification in relevant discipline through training or experience
  • Line management experience

This role has been identified as suitable for hybrid working which will be a combination of home working and working from our offices with Head office at Craven Arms and travel to other offices as required.
