Graduate Learning Support Asssiatnt – Job Description

  • Placement for the entire academic year as a graduate learning support assistant

Graduate Learning Support Assistant – Person Specification

  • Psychology Graduates needed – 1st & 2:1 degree with matching A Level’s and GCSE’s
  • Must be able to commit to supporting SEN learners for the entire academic year
  • LSA opportunities will suit future teachers, clinical/educational psychologists

This creative and well managed school in Bow, East London, is hunting for at least 2 x psychology graduates who can fill the role of learning support assistant for the entire academic year.

This enchanting primary school has a history of supporting and guiding the careers of psychology graduates. Over the years the school has welcomed the input of bright and engaging psychologists and benefited from the fresh ideas and innovation offered.

As a graduate learning support assistant, you will be placed in either a Year 2 or Year 5 class – supporting learners with specific needs. Each year group has a particular learner – Year 2 ASD, Year 5 Dyspraxia.

Your role as a graduate learning support assistant will be to work hand in hand with the class teacher in delivering an exciting curriculum. Alongside supporting your allocated learner, you will liaise with parent/carers and borough coordinators.

The school is a creative place of learning that will offer yoi a chance to grow and develop. The staff room is friendly and the leadership team are approachable and welcoming.
