Job summary
Our Learning Management System (LMS) isessential to our work to provide robust and high-quality training to our staffacross the Primary and Social Care in Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale. After asignificant period of using the same LMS system, we have changed to a new LMS(Totara System) to help improve and transform the way that colleagues engagewith and complete their training with us.
Main duties of the job
To provide a professional, comprehensive, and technical leadershipof the Learning Management System (LMS) with Rochdale Health Alliances PrimaryCare Academy. (PCA)
Specific responsibility of the ongoing development and reviewPrimary Care Academy Training Platform (PCAT) as well as providing technicalmanagement and expertise of this platform. This role will be responsible formaintaining and supporting ongoing relationships with system providers andpartners.
About us
Rochdale Health Alliance was established in 2016 by GP practices from across the Rochdale Borough to streamline the way in which services are delivered. Each of the 3 areas of the borough elected GPs to represent their locality and become directors on the board. The board is supported by a management team who ensure the day to day functioning of the organisation.
GP practices across the Rochdale borough, who have historically worked independently, have came together to work in a federated model to improve healthcare across the Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale (HMR) neighbourhoods.
Retaining their own identity and autonomy, general practitioner (GP) practices will work together and support community and hospital services, including the public and voluntary sector, to ensure healthcare is coordinated for the residents of the Rochdale borough.
Each of the four localities of HMR, which include Rochdale, Heywood, Middleton and the Pennines elected GPs to represent their locality and become directors on the Board.

Job responsibilities
To act as the central point of contact and expertise for PCAT,overseeing the administration and digital development of the platform,providing a high standard of administrative support to the key stakeholderswithin the PCA.
To ensure systematically streamline and develop technical pathwayswithin PCAT to ensure the continued facilitation of a user friendly andintuitive Learning Management System.
Taking ownership of key project tasks such as: - User acceptancetesting - Data migration - System customisation and configuration - Developmentand launch of training materials - Soft launch and pilot activities -Refreshing learning content - Ensuring accessibility and inclusion
To support with the continued development of projects focused onstreamlining workforce systems, learning pathways and the reporting of trainingdata.
Support with the training of users enabling them to manage PCATand training record queries.
Support staff access to learning systems by organising andmanaging access training sessions and materials to enable easy access to'self-service', booking on to face-to-face or e-learning training.
Work with PCA manager to create an annual training calendar forthe organisation so that bookable events are available at least six months inadvance, and which meets the needs of the workforce and corresponds withorganisational objectives.
To support planned meetings and provide updates on PCATdevelopments, responses and projects to key stakeholders ensuring all enquiriesare effectively managed and successfully resolved within a prompt timescale,ensuring all relevant personnel are informed as necessary and an appropriaterecord is maintained.
Undertake general administration duties in respect of departmentrequirements providing a high standard of administrative organisation email and diary management.
Support the delivery of the teams mandatory training and onlinelearning development plan social media strategy including creatingcontent, quizzes, e-learning content andhelp tutorials. for feeds and snippets in various social media sites
The production and provision of accessible and transparent reportsfrom the PCAT system.
To provide first line technical support to end users of the PCATplatform.
The maintenance of existing e-Learning content and associatedtraining materials.
To support in a project administration role, updating projectplans, online management tools etc.
Support on the sourcing of external digital learning content foruse the organisation.
Assist the PCA Manager in managing a range of Internal and externalprojects relating to the learning platform.
To have an awareness and understanding of sensitive information,always ensuring strict confidentiality.
Prioritise own work schedule, to ensure an efficient and timelyoutput within all areas of responsibility, to assist in achievement of qualityand audit standards.

Experience
Essential
Totara system and experience in Totara or Moodle is essential Work experience or training in digital media, web development or similar field Clear understanding and evidence of social networking including Twitter, YouTube, blogs etc. Demonstrated experience of working in a senior administration system support role with technical systems development. IT literacy with demonstrated experience of using a range of IT applications e-Learning. Demonstrates experience of delivering short training sessions specific to a LMS site and its functionality as well as supporting the training and development of team members Learning Management Systems (Moodle) Smart Devices, Phone / Tablet Apps. Online tools: surveys, project management, storage Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence in dealing with and engaging people Sensitivity to staff and patients during times of uncertainty Excellent communications skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team
