Role Summary

Do you want to take on an innovative new role to work with the Orthopaedic Perioperative Team?

We are looking for a motivated, efficient, well organised Senior Healthcare Support Worker with excellent interpersonal skills. As a specialist service, we place patient care at the centre of what we do. We believe that by providing the best and most efficient clinical care we can significantly improve the experience and outcomes of our patients.

Your main responsibility will be in ensuring the timely and efficient flow of our patients by supporting your medical colleagues using your clinical and administrative skills. On a day to day basis you will be responsible for compiling an accurate inpatient list, preparing discharge summaries and letters as well as providing clinical support to include: venepuncture, cannulation, wound care and general clinical tasks as directed by the Medical team. 

The team – This role will be for the Peri-op team that are based on Dyball ward

Working Pattern: hours per week. The working days for this role are Monday to Friday with the occasional weekend (only if needed by the service), the shift will be mostly Earlies :-: however sometimes you will be required to do a late :-:.

Depending on your shift pattern and working hours, you may also receive additional enhancements to your pay.
