Mammoet’s Thornaby depot are seeking a full time Mechanic to join our team. You will be required to have a strong understanding of hydraulics and basic electrical systems on mobile plant machinery such as Cranes, Trucks, LVs, and Trailers. This is a permanent nightshift role, working 4 x 10 hour shifts per week with call outs as required

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Ensuring the condition of equipment is in line with the applicable standards and instructions Performing all-round maintenance and repair services Carrying out work to a high quality, including inspection, prevention, renovation and modification Completing new-build projects when required Working on different types of mechanical (auxiliary) equipment related to diverse power transmission systems
WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Professional level experience in maintenance operations, driver and control, hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic systems. Basic level experience in rigging operations and equipment English, basic proficiency verbal and written Safety training and certification to Mammoet standards Evidence of experience in a similar role, ideally in any/some of the following sectors: civil engineering, construction, renewables, oil and gas, offshore, ports and mining Three years of relevant work experience Secondary education in mechanical engineering or automotive engineering
