We are seeking a full-time Year 5/6 Teacher to join the dynamic team at a friendly, welcoming primary school in West Kirby on the Wirral. The role is for the duration of the summer term starting in April 2024. The school will consider any scale of teacher, but candidates must have previous experience of teaching upper key stage 2 classes.The school is a vibrant and diverse community that values every child and celebrates their achievements. The school has a strong ethos of inclusion and high expectations for all. The school offers a rich and engaging curriculum that fosters a love of learning and prepares pupils for the next stage of their education.
Your new role 
As a Year 5/6 Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all learners and follow the national curriculum. You will also be expected to assess and monitor pupil progress, provide feedback and support, and work collaboratively with other staff and parents.
What you'll need to succeed 
To be successful in this year 5/6 teacher role, you will need to have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalentAn enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain oneEvidence of continuing professional developmentExcellent subject knowledge and pedagogical skillsExperience of teaching upper key stage 2 classesA positive and enthusiastic attitudeA commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
