We are currently looking to recruit Nursing Associates for a permanent contract. The ideal candidate for this position would be a highly motivated, flexible, dynamic, and caring Nursing Associate. You will have the ability to work autonomously as well as having good organisational and communication skills. You will be working within a clinical team alongside the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) to provide the highest quality care required to support each patient in their care pathway, whilst improving the patient experience, maintaining clinical credibility and disseminating knowledge.

Please note that we can only consider applications from individuals with a live NMC registration or UK nursing students awaiting their PIN, as we are currently unable to support OSCE.

Main duties of the job

You will be fully supported by the Matron, Ward Manager and other ward staff that work regularly on the floor alongside the team, embedding the highest level of nursing skills and care. We strive to promote a friendly and supportive environment where learning from each other is paramount.

Job responsibilities

Maintain clinical credibility to act as a role model and take a lead role in the patients journey. Deliver high quality evidence based care. Take responsibility for the organisation and day to day management of a team of staff giving care to patients. Ensure that patient care remains a priority in inter-professional practice and that referrals to the MDT are timely and discharge planning takes place. Person Specification

Education and Qualifications

Essential

Qualified Nursing Associate Current NMC registration

Desirable

Assessing qualification for NVQ students Generic qualification in Perioperative care

Experience

Essential

Can work to a high standard of care & duty under direct and indirect supervision Able to cope well with change Can evidence ability to work effectively as a team member

Desirable

Previous experience of working as a theatre practitioner Experience of co-ordinating and managing patient care

Knowledge

Essential

Able to evidence quality care delivery to patients Able to evidence understanding of the principles of Health & Safety and application to practice Able to evidence understanding of the principles of Infection Prevention & Control and application to practice Evidence of Continuing Professional Development & commitment to ongoing learning
