Senior Healthcare Assistant Fast-track programme
Are you ambitious and have an interest in caring for vulnerable adults? Would you like to earn up to £12.50 per hour within the first 12 to 18 months, and learn valuable specialised clinical skills in the process? Our fast-track Care Assistant programme is now open to new applicants, we provide all specialised training.
- You will start as a Care Assistant and learn essential care skills in the first three months. At the end of that, you will obtain your Care Skills Certificate, which is recognised nationwide.
- You will then learn how to care for patients with tracheostomies. Once training is completed and you are fully competent, your hourly rate will go up.
- Finally, you will learn how to care for ventilated patients. Once training is completed and you are fully competent, your hourly rate will go up to £12.50 or probably more, as salaries are reviewed annually at Fairlie Healthcare
Typical duties when you start:
- Ensure the personal care needs of Residents are met and that assigned duties are executed in a professional and caring manner giving due regard to the Home's core values and values framework and the Skills for Care Code of Conduct for Health and Social Care Workers
- Ensure documentation is completed in a timely fashion including personal care charts for Residents that reflect the care delivered and to escalate concerns regarding a Resident's health and wellbeing to the nurse in charge at the earliest possible opportunity.
- Complete other assigned tasks not directly related to care as, from time to time instructed to do so by the nurse in charge of the shift.
The Fairlie Healthcare Group is a leading provider of high-quality care and we were established in 1999. We specialise in caring for adults with neurological conditions, as well as patients with tracheostomies and who require ventilator support.

- Free meals whilst working on shift
- Comprehensive on the job training & support
