EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

We’re looking for a Planner / Job Build Technician  to join our Workforce Planning & Optimisation team in Derby.

You’ll be responsible for creating compliant permits and work packs to allow our operational teams to safely conduct crucial emergency and planned repair, renewal, and installation works.

In this role, you’ll liaise with various internal and external parties to successfully build the permit, including booking traffic management and other constraints, with the appropriate approval from Local Authorities to ensure successful completion of the works, first time. Sounds great right?

So, who are my stakeholders I hear you say? As well as working within a large team of vibrant and friendly Job Builders, you'll be liaising with external suppliers, highway authorities, field managers, operatives, the local planning authorities, and our customers to ensure our field operations teams are set up for success.

In this role, you’ll be supporting our field operatives and so we’re looking for you to work between a working window of hours : – : , on an -week rota, working weekends in .

You’ll get to finish minutes earlier every Friday when working an early or day shift and start minutes later on a Friday when working a late shift 

You'll be based in our modern Pride Park site in Derby where you’ll be able to park for free or get to with ease with loads of local travel options. You’ll work within our strong Workforce Planning & Optimisation Team who all love what they do.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

Someone with a methodical and analytical mindset will be in their element in this role.

We need you to be super organised and well planned to guarantee that permits are compliant.

Attention to detail when building your permits and work packs means you’ll get them right first time, resulting in customer’s receiving a top-quality service.

Communication skills are key as you’ll be liaising with a wide range of stakeholders, managing expectations and gathering information for your permits and work packs.

You’ll thrive working under pressure and you have the ability to be reactive when emergency works are required, switching to different jobs that are high priority.
