Role responsibilities

This vital role will continue to develop, implement and refine our suite of complex control contingency plans which will be used to support the performance of the Transport for Wales.

Responsibilities to include but are not limited to.

Develop and keep an up up-to-date set of bespoke Day A for Day B contingency plans for specific operational performance risks Responsible for development and management of contingency plans in ATTUne4C including timetable and unit diagramming Working with Control, Train Planning, Performance, Road transport, marketing and Customer Experience and Services team, ensuring all key parties can support development and implementation of a suite of contingency plans and implementation processes for use during service disruption (. longer than 24 hours). Keeping our Operations Service Delivery Plans and Contingency Plans updated and robust to maximise the use of resources and units with the infrastructure available which will aid continual improvements in the customer’s experience and our rail performance.

Who we’re looking for

Ability to use decision making processes to ensure robust service levels while under pressure and ensuring customer service. Ability to manage difficult situations giving clear and concise instruction, while being persistent and tenacious Able to work on own initiative and manage work through prioritisation. Excellent geographical knowledge of the Transport for Wales railway network is Knowledge and understanding of Operational roles in our Control team and their responsibilities is advantageous but not essential.

Welsh Language Skills

The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.
